B4 Fitness exists for two groups, and the work is the same for both: build joints that can handle load before you go chasing the load.
Athletes
Get stronger without collecting injuries along the way. Programming that builds joint capacity alongside muscle, so progress stops stalling every few months.
Trainers
A framework you can take straight to the gym floor. Joint-specific assessment and programming that keeps clients progressing, and keeps them coming back.
The name says the whole thing: BodyBUILDING, not BodyBreaking. We both got here the hard way. Sam through a spinal cord tumor and the surgery that followed; Nick through a 40 degree scoliotic curve that quietly worked its way into his knees, hips, back and shoulders. Between us we tried every standard answer: rest it, stretch it, train around it. None of them held.
What finally worked was treating the joint itself as the thing to train — building active, controlled range at the hip, the spine, the shoulder, then loading it. That principle sits underneath every article, program and coaching call here. Not patching you up after something tears, but building a body that makes the tear far less likely in the first place.
Sam and Nick have both trained through the exact problems most lifters get told to live with. Everything B4 Fitness teaches was worked out on themselves first, then proven on the gym floor, client after client, ever since.
Sam Rosin
Sam has a background in Early Childhood Education and Special Education through attending the University of Maryland and working in childcare for over six years. He's been a trainer since he was 19 and started with Gold's Gym.
In the summer of 2019, Sam had a lumbar laminoplasty done for a myxopapillary spinal cord tumor, leaving him with issues stemming from the operation. Covid struck and teaching online was not an option, so he stuck with training once gyms reopened.
The pain never went away—the original tumor pain did, but this pain was different. In a search for answers, Sam stumbled upon FRC and the rest is history.
After seeing massive career success, he decided to start posting on social media to “get his thoughts out on paper" for writing an eventual book: a training manual, BodyBUILDING, not BodyBreaking.
Nick Rosin
Nick has a background in Kinesiology and Economics through attending the University of Maryland.
He trained professionally at UMD's campus gym and OneLife fitness until October of 2023, and has since been operating our wholesale business, Steel Suppliers Wholesale, as well as aiding in Bodybuilding B4 Bodybreaking.
In 2010, Nick was diagnosed with scoliosis, a 40 degree curve in his spine. This led to knee, hip, back, and shoulder issues, creating a need for a paradigm change in his bodybuilding approach.
Because of this, Nick has developed his own framework for training, stemming from the same guiding principles that built the B4 Fitness brand.
